The freedom of Camping in Alaska

Hello guys I’m very glad to be part of Legendary. Today I’m going camping in Alaska with my wife. And is some of the things that Legendary Marketer has given me, freedom to enjoy nature in Alaska. We will head to Seward, Alaska camping grounds.

Seward is located 127 road miles south of Anchorage. The Seward Highway[5] is a very scenic 2.5-hour drive from Anchorage to Seward, but can be slow in peak summer.

Camping Grounds

• Waterfront Park, Ballaine Boulevard, (907) 224-4055. Tents $8, RVs $12 , Utility sites $25. Right on the water, this is your best bet for paid camping spot. Use the self-registration stations at campground entrances.
• Exit Glacier Road, There are many small off shoot roads where one can park a van or camper.
• Across the Bay, Take Nash road around to the other side of the Fjord. Good camping spots north and south of the ship yard.
• Miller’s Landing, Lowell Point (End of Lowell Point Rd, at beach), 907-224-5739, www.millerslandingak.com. Tent camping sites, full service RV sites (including beachfront), showers, laundry, general store, free wi-fi. They also run a water taxi, fishing charters, and kayak guiding and rental services. Extremely “rustic” place with very friendly staff, all Seward locals!

With just a 10- to 15-minute drive out of Seward, you can hike up close to Exit Glacier and experience the dense blue ice while listening to it crackle. Walk the lower trail (a gentle half mile) to get a good photo in front of the glacier face. The trail also provides access for people with disabilities.

The upper trail provides an overlook, as if you’re standing right on the glacier. You can see the changes in vegetation with the gradual melting of the glacier, and note the signs pointing out the glacier’s reach in years past.

I’m also excited to visit Exit Glacier, which I never have visited before. Our camping trip over the weekend is going to be fun. I really recommend anybody to visit Alaska, especially in the summer.

After our trip to the glacier we’re planning to visit the local aquarium in Seward, where you can appreciate the views of all the animals that live in Alaska. I’m talking about polar bears, walruses, sea otters, and many others Alaskan sea animals. And in case you wondered…. No there  are no penguins in Alaska, that’s only in Antarctica or the South Pole. lol.

I’m planning for this to be the best camping in Alaska trip.  If you never been to Alaska I encourage you come and visit, when you have time of course. And speaking of time, wouldn’t you love to have time to go on a vacation or simply summer camping?
