So to recap from the video, internet traffic in simple terms, is eyeballs. People either searching for solutions or hanging out on the internet. Let’s say for example you already have a business… if you have a product that solves a problem, your job is to expose that product (the solution) in front of people already looking for it. This is what getting targeted traffic is.

Free Organic Internet Traffic

If your business offers a solution to lose weight for example; Creating a video teaching someone how to lose 5lbs in 5 days and uploading it to youtube can get you free visitors from people searching how to lose weight or people simply seeing that you shared this content on other social media sites. This is known as free organic internet traffic, as you didn’t have to pay to get people expose to your content.

Gaining significant internet traffic through this method can take time as search engines such as Google, takes time to rank up the content so people can find it when they search. You must build an audience of people already to looking for what you offer.

Paid Internet Traffic

This is traffic traffic that you pay for. In other words, you paid an agency or a person to send you visitors already interested in your industry to your landing page. For this type of traffic you usually have a budget to invest on clicks (learn about solo ads here). This is equivalent to investing in advertisement for a traditional brick and mortar business.

In conclusion, you want to have both types of internet traffic. When you create content and share them on a blog, like the one you’re on now, on Youtube, Facebook, etc… you’re setting your business for long tern success as once you start receiving enough free organic internet traffic, your paid internet traffic costs lowers.

But, while you build that free organic traffic, you want set a budget aside for paid internet traffic. This will give your business momentum faster as you’re getting traffic on demand and not waiting for search engines and other platforms to send you views to your content.

A lot of these ideas I share on this blog post didn’t magically come from me. They came from the book on the upper right hand corner, which you can get your hands on for free (just cover shipping) by clicking on the photo of me holding it.
